Stop the Clicking, Keep Your Wheels Turning
Your CV (constant velocity) axles transfer power from the transmission to your wheels, allowing smooth movement when turning and driving. The protective rubber boots keep grease inside and dirt out. When these parts fail, you’ll start to hear clicks, feel vibrations, and eventually risk losing drive to the wheels.
Signs of a Bad CV Axle or Boot:
Clicking or popping noises when turning
Grease splattered around the inside of the wheel
Vibrations when accelerating
Clunking during shifts or while driving over bumps
If ignored, a torn boot will quickly lead to axle failure. Once the grease leaks out and dirt gets in, the CV joint wears rapidly. A broken axle can leave your vehicle undriveable on the spot.
